Hello everyone! Welcome to Obsidian Trove! I created this website to be able to share my crafts and my passions with other people who are interested in the same things. When looking through my website you will find an assortment of gemstone necklaces, jewelry with encapsulated black widows of all ages/sizes and pinned bugs.

All of the jewelry listed is made with stainless steel. I chose to use this material because it is durable enough for daily wear, it does not tarnish and it is hypoallergenic. All of the materials used have also been put through extensive wear tests to ensure that I can produce the best product for you guys.

All of the black widows are sourced by me. I collect black widows from the houses of friends and family, and I bring them home and care for them as pets until their passing. During the time I have them as pets, they produce multiple egg sacs that house thousands of baby black widows. My environment cannot support tens of thousands of black widows being introduced into the ecosystem, so I have to regularly cull. I wanted to find a way to repurpose these babies instead of just leaving them in my freezer, so I came up with the idea to turn them into the jewelry that you will soon see on my site.
